Message:Dear All,
I just wanted to let you all know what a wonderful evening was had by all at Oxford Town Hall. The Morriston Orpheus was fabulous, as were the soloists, and the programme was both moving and inspiring. I actually wished I was welsh when the Welsh National Anthem was sung at the end and am determined to learn the words so I can join in another time! Although I've already thanked Nigel and Katie Jones separately, I would like to express thanks to all of you who attended the concert and especially to Eleanor, Amy and Penny who manned the programme/ticket office, the Cruse table (selling lavender bags and teddies and providing info) and shook tins to raise funds. I don't know yet how much was raised ( for Cruse) but I know we'll be very grateful and happy to accept it . Best wishes to you all,
Vanessa Roberts

Subject Song selection on the site
Message:Your site details was given me by fellow motorcyclist, to listen too. I'm afraid never been to a choir concert, but enjoy male voice choirs when they are played on the wireless. On your site I especially loved a Scots hymn sang by 100 Taffs & not played by 100 pipers. Amazin Thank you I don't know if this counts as I'm aSouth Londoner bread & born

Message:It is apparent from reading this commentary, that, from our land lying here in the dawn shadow of Offa's Dyke, you (once,we) still travel to enthrawl audiences up and down the country, with the time tested skill and passion of the Orpheus. For one now, on an enforced sabbatical, it is gratifying to read of the rapturous appreciation given to the choir, under Joy's baton. The Orpheus is firmly back on tracks that will take you to many more exciting destinations. The Orpheus is of course unique,. Or do I mean, the Orpheus is simply the best ----- Yes, that's what I mean! The Orpheus IS the best!

PS Taking a lead from the 'bill toppers' at the opening concert of the National Eisteddfod, perhaps Jeff, Dai, Brian and Ceri might like to introduce a little movement in their rendition of Delilah. If the choir coffers could extend to equiping them with a couple of broom sticks each, goodness knows what diversity in dance might follow!
On the other hand-----maybe not!
