SubjectSwansea 17th February 2016
Message:Who ever heard of a rehearsal that you will remember for the rest of your life? But that is what happened to us on 17th February in Swansea. The warm friendly welcome from the gentlemen of the choir, and the breath-taking music they made under the baton of the indefatigable and inspirational Joy Amman Davies (let’s face it - there is nothing like a dame – nothing in the world), we will never forget. We packed a lot of goodies into our week east of the Irish Sea: the hilarious Midsummer Night’s Dream at RSC Stratford, the wonderful Ian Bostridge and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment at Bath, levitational evensong at New College Oxford, but (don’t tell them lest they be jealous) having “How Great Thou Art” sung specially for us by the men of the Morriston Orpheus Choir left the rest in the shade. Roll on your visit to Ireland, and thank you!

Message:Many thanks to all concerned on Saturday evening, full of nostalgia and with me been born in 1934 and remembering the war years over the Midlands in particular the Coventry raids,a superb night of song, joy and the boys in super form,Les Ryan on the organ adds so much to the sound,I just hope he gets to play the instrument in symphony hall when we are taking a few non believers to the concert which I believe is now a sell out.best wishes Michael& Elizabeth Byard,Albrighton ,west Mids

SubjectThank you
Message:To the choir, John, and Joy. We would like to thank you for the fantastic hospitality shown by you to my wife and I on Wednesday 4th Nov at your rehearsal. We have always liked listening to the choirs on the TV and radio but to hear you singing in the same room was an privilage for us. It was absolutely wonderful. But complimenting the evening was the friendliness of all and the invitation to hear you at LLanelli. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the performances. Once again thank you.

SubjectMenin Gate Performance
Message:My wife and I will always remember the experience of listening to the choir at the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate. The performance was incredibly moving and our only regret is that it could not have featured more pieces.
Thank you!
