Finalists for 41st MOCSA Young Welsh Singer of the Year Competition announced.
Following a series of preliminary heats over the last few weeks the four Finalists for the September Final of the 41st Morriston Orpheus Choir Supporters’ Association (MOCSA) Young Welsh Singer of the Year Competition have been announced.

Entries were received from the leading Music Colleges in the UK, resulting once again in a high calibre of competitor which continues to make the task of choosing just four singers for the Final a difficult one.
The decision has been made however and the four singers who will compete in the 2017 Final for the MOCSA Trophy are:
Joanna Harries a 29 year old Mezzo Soprano from New Zealand (eligible through residency) studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
Chloe Angharad Morgan a 30 year old Soprano from London ( Father born in Aberbargoed) studying at Wales International Academy of Voice.
Elen Lloyd Roberts a 24 year old Soprano from Bangor, studying at The Royal Academy of Music
Charlotte Trepess a 27 year old Soprano from Eastbourne (Mother born in Bridgend), studying at Royal Northern College of Music.
The Final will be held at a concert with The Morriston Orpheus Choir on Saturday 16 September at St Mary's Church in Swansea City Centre (6pm) and tickets are currently on sale - click here for details
