Orpheus heading back Down Under
Update 3 June : The Morriston Orpheus Choir regrets that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control the Tour Promoter Andrew Kay and Associates has decided not to proceed with the 2013 Australian Tour
The Choir is pleased to announce that it has accepted an invitation to tour Australia in July/August 2013. Our promoter, Andrew Kay of AKA and Associates has arranged a busy tour; performing in Australia’s major cities from Perth to Canberra. Unfortunately we have not been able to include a visit to New Zealand on this occasion. We arrive in Perth on the 28 July and will be performing across the Country before we head home on 9 August.
Our tour party of around seventy choristers will be conducted by our Musical Director Joy Amman Davies. Our accompanist Alice Reed and organist Leslie Ryan will join us on tour.
We are very pleased to have secured the services of two young soloists of repute to tour with us. Both Trystan Llŷr Griffiths and Eirlys Myfanwy Davies have demonstrated their considerable vocal skills in singing competitions ( including our own MOCSA Young Welsh Singer of the Year) and Concerts whilst continuing their vocal studies.
