Welcome to the new official website of the
Morriston Orpheus Choir

Croeso i wefan swyddogol newydd

Côr Orpheus Treforys

Formed in 1935 and enjoying an international reputation as a leading exponent of male choral singing, the Morriston Orpheus Choir is in constant demand performing around 25 engagements annually. In addition, the Choir undertakes performances on television, at national and promotional events and provides corporate and after-dinner entertainment. This famous Welsh male voice choir can provide a complete show, including solo artistes. The Choir is also available to sing at weddings.

The Morriston Orpheus Choir, often referred to as the ‘Ambassadors of Song’, is probably the most travelled of the Welsh male voice choirs. To date, 30 overseas concert tours have been undertaken since 1965. Details

Contact the Engagements Secretary for further information. Performances are on a fee-paying basis with special arrangements for selected charity performances.

This new website is proving to be very popular with our supporters here in the UK and around the world and, on average, is visited 100 times every day (data from Google Analytics). Our secure on-line shop has been newly improved and extended to include  prominent Welsh artistes, including those important to the Choir who have either performed with the Choir over the years at concerts and / or have competed in our annual MOCSA Young Welsh Singer of the Year competition.

In addition to the wide range of CDs of the Morriston Orpheus Choir on sale, a new section of the shop is now dedicated to the sale of CDs of these artistes  - many of whom are at the centre of Welsh cultural and classical music life.

Also, two further sections have been added.  One contains items associated with music and choral work and the other section allows members of MOCSA to pay their annual subscriptions on the website, and for prospective members to sign up.
