and the Winner is ..........

A 23 year old countertenor from Rhosllanerchrugog has become the latest winner of the MOCSA Young Welsh Singer of the Year trophy. Kieron-Connor Valentine,(pictured with MOCSA President Ron Marno) is currently studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, having previously graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music. He was the Adjudicators choice after a high quality competition final on Sunday 7 October.

Swansea University's Great Hall was the setting for the Final as part of the annual MOCSA concert with the Choir. This year the event was supported by the Swansea International Music Festival and the University and proved to be a fitting climax to this year's 16 day celebration of music and art.
