Colin Webborn
Sadly we report that Colin Webborn, a long serving member of the Bass section and Life Member of the Morriston Orpheus, has passed away. (Details of Colin's funeral service have been added below)
Colin sang with the Choir at some of its most prestigious occasions and travelled far and wide as a dedicated and much respected chorister. His many concert appearances with the Choir included visits to North America, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and the Middle East as well as the UK and Europe.
Colin was delighted to receive his 40 year service award in 2018 and is pictured (left) accepting the award from Chor president Ron Marno at the Choir's Annual Concert.
Failing health meant that his concert appearances were limited towards the end of 2019 and his presence both on and off the concert stage is already missed.
The thoughts of everyone at the Orpheus are with Colin's three daughters, Sue, Sarah and Claire and their families at this sad time.
Colin's funeral service will be on Thursday 30 January; 1.00pm at St Barnabas Church, Hawthorne Avenue, Uplands, Swansea, SA2 0LP
Service will be followed by interment at Oystermouth Cemetery (section BB)
