Sixty Years of Song with the Orpheus.

The Morriston Orpheus Choir recently celebrated its 85th birthday. Remarkably there is one current chorister who has been singing for over 60 of those years with the Choir.

At its 2019 Annual Concert the Morriston Orpheus recognised a unique achievement in presenting top tenor Wynford John with his award for 60 years’ service with the Choir.

Wynford has performed under each of the Choir’s seven Musical Directors and before we all went into 'lockdown' our Events Manager Steve Pearson caught up with him to talk about his achievement.

Our thanks to David Hammond-Williams for his work in producing the original video.

It will take some doing to emulate Wynford but you've got to start somewhere! The Choir is always on the look out for new Choristers and if you are interested and want to find out a bit more take a look at our recruitment page on this website - click here
